On April 22–23, 2024, the delegation of Astana IT University, headed by Acting Rector Prof. Serik Omirbayev, was invited to the First International Festival-Exhibition of Universities of Foreign Countries in Dushanbe (Tajikistan).
As part of the festival-exhibition at the National Library of the Republic of Tajikistan, meetings were held with heads of departments of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, rectors of higher educational institutions in Dushanbe, as well as with representatives of leading universities of Russia, Uzbekistan, the USA, Turkey, and Malaysia.
Also on the first day, a press conference was held with the participation of the Acting Rector Prof. Serik Omirbayev and a round table on the topic “Integration and cooperation in the field of higher education.” Prof. Serik Omirbayev made a report and presentation on the topic “Forms of international cooperation in the field of science and higher education in Kazakhstan.”
On the second day, the AITU delegation visited the Technological University of Tajikistan and the Tajik National University. As part of the meetings, presentations of Astana IT University were held and potential areas of cooperation were discussed.
Over the course of two days of the festival, an educational exhibition was held at the EXPO center in Dushanbe with the participation of Astana IT University.
