Astana It University provides its students with accommodation and an environment that encourages students to fulfill themselves and be more active. Living in residential buildings of the university is not only good conditions, but also an active and rich student life.

The university has 2 student houses: 1 for boys with 291 places, and 1 for girls with 202 places.

Dear students, the lists of those who will get a place in the student house will be known from January 5 to January 10 after the meeting of the housing commissions. Those who applied in September do not have to do it again.

Seats are allocated according to preferential categories.

The competition commission distributes places in the dormitory, taking into account the grounds and priority in the following priority order:

      1) persons with disabilities in development, disabled and disabled since childhood, disabled children, orphans and children left without parental care, persons whose one or both parents are disabled;

      2) persons from among the youth left without parental care until adulthood, persons equated by benefits and guarantees to participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War, persons from among rural youth enrolled in educational programs that determine the socio-economic development of the village, as well as oralmans who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

      3) students, within the framework of the project “Мәңгілік ел жастары – индустрияға!” (“Серпін – 2050”);

      4) students enrolled in the first year, who have the sign “Алтын белгі”, students who have a certificate of the winner or prize-winner of the Presidential, international and Republican Olympiad and (or) competition, as well as applicants who graduated from the organization with honors with a supporting document of education (certificate, certificate, diploma)

5) students accepted for training in the first year who have a high score based on the results of the Unified National Testing or Comprehensive Testing, entrance exams in subjects or in the form of testing conducted by the organization.

If the scores are equal according to the results of the Unified National Testing or Comprehensive Testing, entrance examinations in subjects or in the form of testing conducted by the organization, the financial situation of the student is taken into account, when providing a certificate confirming that the applicant (family) belongs to the recipients of state targeted social assistance provided by local executive bodies, according to the Rules of formation, direction of expenditure and accounting of funds, allocated for the provision of financial and material assistance to students and pupils of state educational institutions from families eligible for state targeted social assistance, as well as from families that do not receive state targeted social assistance, in which the average per capita income is below the subsistence minimum, and children – orphans, children left without parental care, living in families, children from families requiring emergency assistance as a result of emergency situations, and other categories of students and pupils approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 25, 2008 No. 64 “On approval of the Rules for the Formation, direction of expenditure and accounting of funds allocated for the provision of financial and material assistance to students and pupils of state educational institutions from families eligible for state targeted social assistance, as well as from families, those who do not receive state targeted social assistance, in which the average per capita income is below the subsistence minimum, and orphans, children left without parental care, living in families, children from families requiring emergency assistance as a result of emergency situations, and other categories of students and pupils”;

Those who applied in September, but now do not need a place in the student house, please warn the elders of their groups. This place is very important to other students.

  • Non-resident students are provided with two types of rooms: double and triple. Each room is equipped with beds, desks and wardrobes. Room sizes vary by room type.
  • Specially equipped kitchens and dining room are available for the students. Cooking is allowed only in the kitchen, which are equipped with refrigerators, electric stoves, an oven, an exhaust cabinet, a microwave and a kitchen headset.
  • Training rooms, rest rooms, laundry rooms equipped with automatic washing machines, drying and ironing rooms are provided for the comfort of accommodation for students.
  • Also in all residential complexes, access to the Internet through a wifi network is provided.
  • Favorable social and living conditions, meaningful leisure time, order and discipline in the University Residence Halls, student self-organization and the support of eduizers are important factors in the successful social and psychological adaptation of students to the conditions of study at the University.
  • Orphans and students with disabilities are provided with free accommodation in the residential premises of the university, which is an important factor in the adaptation of the student. For students from families eligible to receive targeted social assistance, as well as students from families not receiving state targeted social assistance, in which the average per capita income is below the subsistence minimum, a -20% discount is provided.

The order of accommodation of students in residential areas of the university

The provision of places and accommodation of students is organized online, in accordance with the order of the Minister No. 66 On the approval of the rules for the allocation of places in the dormitories of educational organizations.

Stages and terms of consideration of applications, meetings of the Commission for Settlement, Settlement in the residential premises of the University:

  • Acceptance of applications from students for the provision of a place in the residential premises of the university are submitted electronically through the university website astanait.edu.kz in the online system addressed to the Chairman of the Settlement Commission – from August 10 to 20, 2020;

1. Submission of electronic applications by Astana IT University students

To get a place in the residential premises of the university, nonresident students need to apply for a place through the university’s website www.astanait.edu.kz electronically from August 10 to 20, 2020.

Consideration of electronic applications will be carried out if there are documents specified in the online system. The priority right to provide space in the residential premises of the university will be held by students with appropriate benefits.

Attachment of relevant documents is mandatory:
– Identity card;
– documents confirming the benefits (certificate of family composition, certificate of death of both or only parent or certificate from the orphanage, certificate of disability), etc.

2. Electronic queuing in the system according to criteria

Students who have not obtained a place in the residential premises of the university, but who are in line at the beginning of the school year, can apply for a place as they are vacated during the school year.

5. Settlement of students in residential buildings of the university

Students are settled after the conclusion of the Residential Lease Agreement and payment for accommodation, in the period from August 24 to August 31, 2020.

Before settling, students need to undergo a medical examination for epidemiological environment in the medical office of the University “Medicer.”

In the event that the student cannot check in during the above period, for good reason, it is necessary to warn the commandant of the residential premises of the university in writing, provided that the contract is concluded and payment is made.
