Aim of the Department
To create conditions for the organization and effective work of scientific and innovative teams, including students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the University, for the implementation of innovative scientific and technical ideas, social and business projects.
Department Structure
AITU has opened research and innovation centers EdTech, Industry 4.0, AgroTech, Smart City, “Big Data and Blockchain Technologies” and prototyping laboratory FabLab, the purpose of which is to carry out scientific research in cooperation with Kazakhstani and foreign partners.
Scientific and innovation centers
Scientific and innovation center Industry 4.0 – conducts research in the following areas: research, optimization and modeling of intelligent industrial solutions;

Scientific and innovation center AgroTech – conducts research in the following areas: remote sensing, precision farming and animal husbandry, UAVs and robotics, digital field maps;

On the basis of Astana IT University, the international scientific journal “Scientific Journal of Astana IT University” is published, which publishes the works of scientists from different countries and allows the scientific community of the university to effectively cooperate at the international level, the journal is planned to enter the Scopus, Web of Science database.

To motivate young scientists, the university annually allocates intra-university grants for the implementation of scientific projects.
AITU faculty actively publishes scientific works in publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science with quartile Q1-Q2.
In order to promote Kazakhstani science and to exchange advanced results in the field of ICT, AITU annually hosts an international scientific conference under the auspices of the international community IEEE “2021 IEEE Smart Information Systems and Technologies”, where scientist and specialists from various sectors of the IT industry from countries of near and far abroad are expected to participate.
