Representatives from the University of the People’s Republic of China, led by Professor Shan Wenhua, Deputy President of Xiang Jiaotong University, visited Astana IT University on July 3, 2023.
During the meeting, Acting Rector Omirbayev S. M. delivered a presentation on the university and put forward suggestions regarding potential areas of cooperation.
Consequently, the parties entered a memorandum of understanding, focusing on facilitating mutual academic mobility for faculty and students. Representatives from Xi’an Jiaotong University expressed their readiness to collaborate in organizing internships for the teaching staff and also expressed their desire to promote educational relations between China and Kazakhstan.
After the meeting, a tour was conducted, showcasing the laboratories of FabLab, Industry 4.0, Smart City, and the scientific library.
