Foreign language (professional)

The aim of professionally oriented English is to develop professional competences of specialists; to form foreign language professionally oriented communicative competence of undergraduates, allowing them to integrate into the international professional environment and to use professional English as a means of intercultural and professional communication.

History and philosophy of science

The course aims to provide the Master”s student with knowledge about the properties of science as a form of cognition and as a socio-cultural phenomenon in its historical development. During the course, the Master”s student studies both the problems of philosophical comprehension of science in general and the specificity of the problems of the biological branch of scientific cognition. The importance of the course is due to the fact that the training in the framework of the master”s degree personnel, capable of independent research activities, requires a deep and multifaceted understanding of the philosophy of biological cognition on the basis of ideas about the general essence of the phenomenon of science. The course is aimed at formation of systematic natural-science ideas of interaction of a human being with natural environment, at formation of ability to apply theoretical knowledge for their harmonization

Pedagogy of higher education

The purpose of the discipline “Pedagogy of Higher Education” is to provide students with knowledge of theoretical foundations of pedagogical theory and pedagogical skills, management of educational process for teaching in higher education, to provide insight into the basic categories of pedagogy, the place, role and significance of higher education in the system of sciences about a person and in practical activities of the teacher, to form an understanding of the basic principles of modern pedagogy and methodical approaches to solving the pedagogical problems of higher education.

Psychology of management

This discipline involves familiarizing students with the main resource capabilities of the human factor in managing organizations in modern conditions. Within the framework of the discipline, the psychological characteristics of management objects, both personnel and the organization as a whole, and management subjects, which are managers of different levels , are considered in order to reveal the psychological mechanisms that ensure the effectiveness of management systems.

Teaching internship is a type of practical activity for graduate students that includes the teaching of special disciplines, the organization of educational activities for master’s degree students, scientific and methodological work on the subject, and the acquisition of skills and abilities in the work of a teacher

The content of the course is aimed at developing basic knowledge in the field of quality management, studying the terminological bases and modern concepts of quality management. The subject of the course covers the areas of modern understanding of quality and the concept of project quality, the evolution of quality management forms and the quality system.

Communication in project management

The purpose of the course is aimed at helping graduate students learn to communicate strategically in a professional environment and analyze their intended audience. The course is focused on improving the ability of written and oral communication of undergraduates, the formation of intercultural communication skills of future managers for effective teamwork.

Agile Project Management

The course gives a systematic professional understanding of flexible approaches to project management using Agile, SCRUM methodology, and advanced software products for management automation.

Audit of processes in information security

The discipline is aimed at studying the methods and procedures for auditing processes in the field of information security, including assessing the security level of information systems, identifying vulnerabilities and risks, analyzing control measures and developing measures to eliminate deficiencies and threats.

Business analytics

The course provides an opportunity to study the basics of business analytics with a focus on how data analytics used in an organization affects business performance. During the course, students will learn how data analysts describe, predict and make business decisions in specific areas of marketing, human resources, finance and operations, as well as deepen their knowledge of data collection, processing and analysis through the development of analytical thinking. The course will help to build business indicators around the correct collection and analysis, which will allow top management to make strategic decisions based on data with interpretation of the results of analysis of real data sets and relevant recommendations on business strategy.

Product Management

The course provides a comprehensive overview of the principles, strategies and skills needed to effectively manage products and bring them to market. This course also analyzes the importance of customer focus and user experience in product management, including the study of methods for collecting user feedback, conducting research and using data analytics to inform product decisions and continuous improvement. This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to successfully complete the entire product lifecycle, from idea and development to launch and promotion after product launch.

The purpose of the course is to form the modern economic thinking of a specialist in the field of project management and to determine the role and behavioral competencies of a project manager within various approaches to project management.

Business planning of innovative and investment projects (Business simulation)

The purpose of studying the course is to develop skills in evaluating the market potential of business ideas, analyzing potential competitors and understanding the internal and external environment, creating a competitive advantage for products and services, taking into account customer needs, business development – strategies based on market and financial forecasting.

Project management context and processes

The course focuses on identifying, developing, planning and managing project scope and budget, including selected processes from areas of expertise such as integration, cost, project scope and context. This course focuses on the development of project ideas, a modern context management system, project cost estimation, and a basic project budget plan. Particular attention is paid to the life cycle of the project and its phases. It also covers the preparation of an expense profile that supports variance analysis and corrective action using earned value management. Using a combination of theory-based lectures and practical exercises, students gain an effective set of skills to develop and control project context and a basic budget.

Human Resource Management

The aim of the course is to develop skills for understanding employees, their behavior, predicting their performance with an emphasis on planning and strategies for human resource development, personnel selection, equal employment opportunities, training, performance appraisal, compensation and modern problems of organizational behavior.

The discipline focuses on modern concepts, methods and tools of project management with the aim of applying them in further practical activities to solve problems in project planning and implementation.

Research methodology

The discipline is aimed at developing graduate students a broad understanding of research methodology, critical reading skills of scientific literature and development of research tools.

IT tools for project management

The content of the course is aimed at the forms and methods of ensuring high quality projects using special IT tools and software. This course provides an overview of programs (applications) for analysis, visualization, forecasting and the use of cloud computing for effective project management.

Project cost management

The subject of the discipline is to equip undergraduates with the skills to solve practical economic and technical problems of project and programme management in business structures in various sectors of the economy.

Program and project portfolio management

The purpose of the course is to develop skills in enhancing the manageability and attractiveness of projects and the portfolio as a whole by changing the parameters of the projects included in the programs and the portfolio, developing managerial recommendations for project transformation.

Project risk management

The content of the course is aimed at developing basic knowledge in the field of quality management among undergraduates, studying the terminological base and modern concepts of quality management. The subject of the course covers the areas of modern understanding of quality and the concept of project quality, the evolution of quality management forms and the quality system.

Project Stakeholder Management

The course is designed to get acquainted with the specifics of strategic project management in terms of managing stakeholders (stakeholders) of the project. Students will consider the basic principles and practical steps for analyzing the external and internal environment of the project, aimed at identifying and systematizing the main stakeholders, assessing their goals, collecting information about them and using this data in the process of strategic project management.

Service model in project management

The course focuses on the key components of the service model in project management, including service design, service delivery, service quality and customer satisfaction. Students will gain an understanding of how to identify and define project objectives, scope and results in the context of service, as well as how to manage and mitigate risks specific to service projects. The course focuses on solving problems that arise in project management in service-based industries.

Conflict Management

Within the framework of the discipline, the theoretical, methodological and practical foundations of organizing and conducting business negotiations, resolving and preventing conflict situations at various management levels are considered.

Innovation and Research Management

The purpose of the course is to develop skills in assessing the market potential of business ideas, analyzing potential competitors and understanding the internal and external environment, creating a competitive advantage of products and services taking into account customer needs, developing a business strategy based on market and financial forecasting.

IT Project Management

The purpose and objectives of the course are to provide training for students in the field of project management implemented in the field of creation and maintenance of information technologies. Familiarization of students with the essence and tools of project management, which allows them to make qualified decisions at different phases of the project cycle, competently perform the functions of IT project management, create a project team and build a project structure, as well as conduct an examination of project solutions.

Business process analysis

The purpose of mastering the discipline is to study the basics of process management, modeling and analysis of business processes. The objectives of the discipline are to study the theory of business processes, the principles of organization structuring, the methodology of structural analysis and modern methodologies for modeling business processes, tools used to describe business processes, the basic principles of business process analysis, as well as options for using the process approach in organization management and global trends in the development of the modeling tools market and analysis of business processes.

Management in information security

The purpose of the course is to master the methods and means of information security management by undergraduates, to ensure effective information security management of all services and activities within the framework of Service Management. In this discipline, the main types, features of the functioning and application of information security management systems are studied, a detailed overview and description of the most important security methods and models are given, as well as practical tasks solved in the field of information security.

Research practice

This module is designed to strengthen students ” research and cross-cutting skills, especially in relation to research and communication in an English language environment. The courses cover several areas of scientific skills, including scientific communication and presentation skills, theory of science, scientific methodology, and teamwork skills.

Graduate Research Work, including an internship and master’s project (GRW)

The purpose of Graduate Research Work is to develop students’ ability to independently perform research work related to solving professional problems, which is necessary for further scientific and professional activities in the field of media. GRW helps to systematize, consolidate and expand theoretical knowledge, develop statistical methods in project management, and master the elements of independent research work.

Final examination

Design and defense of the master’s Project

The thesis is a written work that must document that the candidate is capable of independently applying scientific and practical methods to handle complex problems drawn from specific subject areas, including individual technical details and their broader implications. The thesis incorporates the competencies gained from research and applies them to the preferred dissertation topic in the same company/organization as the case study and project. It provides scientific analysis that covers the entire spectrum of the educational program and the corresponding research problem.
