From May 15 to 17, 2024, Astana IT University hosted the fourth International Scientific Conference 2024 IEEE 4th International Conference on Smart Information Systems and Technologies (SIST).
The conference is an important event for the scientific community, as it brings together the best scientists and specialists in the field of information technology and intelligent systems from around the world who share their research and ideas. The main purpose of the Conference is to share experiences with professionals in their field, develop knowledge and perspectives on specific topics, expand their professional network and contribute to finding answers to questions about the latest trends in IT. The conference can serve as a starting point for ideas on the implementation of government programs and, as a result, scientific research.
The conference is organized jointly with IEEE Kazakhstan Sub-Section and IEEE Section of Ukraine. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the NNEF Public Foundation, the N.Nazarbayev Foundation, Astana IT University, the International University of Information Technology and the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The technical sponsor of the conference was the IEEE Ukrainian Section, the IEEE Kazakhstan subsection and the IEEE Joint Chapter Computational Intelligence & Robotics and Automation.
The plenary session of the conference was attended by scientists from Turkey, Ukraine, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, China, the USA, Iran, Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
Every year, interest in this conference in the scientific community and among students is increasing. This year, 262 articles were sent to the conference (166 from Kazakhstan, 96 from abroad), which is more than 1,000 participants from 14 countries (Turkey, Chile, Ukraine, Brazil, Malaysia, USA, India, Bangladesh, Algeria, Amman, Russia, Great Britain, Kyrgyzstan, etc.)
The Conference topics included the following research areas:
1. Technology and Engineering Management
2. IT in education and research
3. New trends and technologies in the field of IT applications.
4. Data Science and Advanced Analytics
After a double review of 116 accepted articles, -110 reports were heard during the two days of the conference.
The materials of the 2024 IEEE SIST conference will be indexed in the highly rated international scientific database Scopus. This conference has become a significant event among scientists and IT specialists in Kazakhstan.
