On October 5, 2022, a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the First Secretary and Head of the Policy Department Mr. Yang Sebyuk and Senior Expert of the Policy Department Yesbol Sartayev visited Astana IT University.
During the meeting, the Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational affairs B.A. Kumalakov made a presentation about the university, its main achievements and programs. Mr. Kumalakov mentioned the existence of a subculture of students at AITU who are interested in learning the Korean language and culture. The parties also discussed the possibility of opening a Korean language center for AITU students.
Mr. Sebyuk, in turn, stressed the importance of the development of the IT sector, which was reflected in the recent State of the Nation Address by the Head of State K.J. Tokayev. Mr. Sebyuk also expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome and admiration for the detailed presentation about the university.
The meeting was followed by an introductory tour of AITU laboratories, the military department, the scientific library and the coworking center.
