Health Tech & Well-being hackathon

Astana Innovations in cooperation with Astana IT University will hold the first ever HealthTech & Well-being hackathon on November 25-26. About 150 Kazakhstani developers, designers, healthcare professionals and scientists will participate to discuss effective solutions to many health problems including those related to COVID-19. Participants are expected to present groundbreaking ideas using technologies such as AI, ML, IOT to solve real-world health and wellness problems. The prize fund is 1,600,000 tenge.

Topics and tasks of Astana Innovations Challenge:

• Data processing for hospitals

• Virtual Health Assistant

• Remote examination of the patient

• GPS monitoring for ambulances

• Improving medical and emergency communication

• Big Data in sports and in the field of maintaining a healthy lifestyle

• Solutions for healthy lifestyle at work / daily life

The hackathon will be held as part of the Astana Innovations Challenge which will continue with a bootcamp and a competition for startups that work on solutions in the field of healthcare and healthy lifestyle. Bootcamp is a one-day event that will help “pump” existing startups and newly created solutions within the framework of the hackathon. It will be held on November 28 and will consist of mentoring and educational sessions presented by Kazakhstani and foreign experts in the startup industry.

The startup competition among HealthTech and Well-being startups will be held on November 29 and will bring together leading startups from Kazakhstan that are already changing the healthcare industry and improving the lifestyle of Kazakhstan citizens.
