Main direction of the EP:
The program is aimed at training specialists in the modeling of production processes based on mathematical statistics and data analysis, with a strong fundamental knowledge of mathematics and in applied methods based on computational technologies.
The purpose of the microqualification EP:
Formation of students’ skills in the correct application of methods of mathematical statistics to various applied problems, as well as providing students with a full range of knowledge in statistics necessary for the successful use of a powerful tool of statistical analysis.
Objectives of the EP microqualification:
– to form in students a holistic understanding of the principles of mathematical statistics and analysis;
– to instill the skills of conscious and rational use of modern software tools in professional activities to solve specific problems.
LO 1. Understand methods of data analysis, systematization, representation, and generalization through the application of a complex of methods to solve specific tasks.
LO 2. Utilize statistical methods to solve specific tasks.
LO 3. Demonstrate proficiency in preparing data accurately and appropriately for statistical analysis.
LO 4. Develop mathematical models and numerical algorithms and select computational methods for conducting computational experiments and forecasting deterministic and probabilistic processes.
LO 5. Collect, process, and analyze data using methods of mathematical statistics, data science, and machine learning to make forecasts and prepare managerial and operational recommendations.
