On February 24, 2023, a delegation of the Embassy of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Minister Plenipotentiary, General Director for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies (MAECI) Luigi Maria Vignali visited Astana IT University.
During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Kumalakov B.A. has demonstrated a brief presentation of the university, its main achievements and programs. Mr. Kumalakov noted the high interest in developing cooperation with Italian universities, and also thanked the Ambassador of the Italian Republic, Mr. Marco Alberti, for supporting the “Guglielmo Marconi Center for Italian Language and Culture” at Astana IT University.
Mr. Vignali, in turn, emphasized the importance of the development of the IT sector, in particular cybersecurity, in the modern world. The Delegation expressed its deep gratitude for the warm welcome and admiration for the detailed presentation and infrastructure of the university.
It should be noted that today AITU has signed memorandums of cooperation with several Italian universities, in particular with the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, The University of Pisa, which provide for double degree programs and academic mobility of students and teachers.
