Plovdiv University, Higher School of Security and Economics

The Higher School of Security and Economics is the successor of the College of Economics and Management (CEA) in Plovdiv and its founders are Prof. Toncho Trendafilov and Prof. Georgy Manolov. CEA was established by the decision of the 39th National Assembly, promulgated in No. 97 of the State Gazette (November 4, 2003). In 2006, CEA received institutional accreditation from the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA). July 1, 2010, The College of Economics and Management – Plovdiv received a new institutional accreditation from NASA for a period of up to 6 years. Thanks to the excellent teaching achieved at the CEA and the positive assessment of the NEAA, the College has been transformed into a specialized four-year Higher School of Security and Economics, which has the right to train students in the educational qualification degrees of “bachelor”, “master”, and “PhD”.

HSSE students study in three professional areas: “National Security”, “Economics” and “Administration and Management”. Curricula are updated and fully comply with the provisions of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the requirements of employers. All specialties are extremely attractive, and the demand for graduates from private companies and government agencies is very high. The knowledge and skills that students acquire at HSSE are key to their future careers and provide a seamless path to employment and even starting their own business.
