On October 20–21, 2025, Astana IT University hosted the AI Science Hackathon 2025, organized by the Association for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Young Researchers Alliance and Astana IT University. Astana IT University students joined the Halyk Ormany environmental project, which aims to restore and expand green areas in Kazakhstan.
