Astana IT University hosted the official opening ceremony of Ruh Films Academy — a joint creative and educational project between AITU and Ruh Films.
The event brought together filmmakers, educators, and creative industry representatives to celebrate the start of a collaboration that unites art, technology, and education.
During the ceremony, AITU Rector Altair Akhmetov and Head of Ruh Films Academy Yerbulan Bilyalov signed a partnership agreement, marking the beginning of a long-term cooperation in the field of media and visual content. The event was attended by Sabit Barlybayev, Head of the Committee on Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who congratulated the participants and emphasized the importance of integrating creativity and innovation into modern education.
✨ As part of the partnership, a micro-qualification program will be launched, covering directing, screenwriting, cinematography, and post-production. The program will be open both to AITU students and the general public. Graduates will have the opportunity to continue their studies in AITU’s Media Technologies and Digital Journalism bachelor’s and master’s programs, with completed disciplines credited towards their degrees.
This collaboration embodies AITU’s mission to combine technological education with the creative industry, offering students real opportunities to work on live production projects and preparing the next generation of professionals ready to work at the intersection of IT and film.
