On December 10, Astana IT University hosted the forum titled «Law and Order: Enhancing Financial Literacy, Combating Addictions, and Cybercrime». This event was organized by the Department of Economic Investigations under the Financial Monitoring Agency for the city of Astana and continued the «Tártіptі ózіńnen basta» initiative.
Attendees included members of the Astana Maslikhat, representatives from the Amanat party, the Financial Monitoring Agency, the city Akimat, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, as well as representatives from the police and prosecutor’s office.
Discussions at the forum focused on identifying financial pyramids and protecting oneself from fraud. Additionally, the forum addressed the risks associated with gambling addiction and drug dependence. Participants shared insights about the potential threats facing individuals and explored strategies for improving financial literacy.
The forum concluded with the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Astana IT University and the Department of Economic Investigations. This partnership aims to combine efforts to enhance financial literacy among young people.
