AITU has officially joined MIT’s international GLEEN (Global Learning & Entrepreneurship Network), becoming the first university in Kazakhstan to enter this global ecosystem of North America, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
This partnership brings AITU not just access to courses, but a full transformation framework used at MIT — including Disciplined Entrepreneurship (24 Steps) and 15 Startup Tactics. These methodologies will form the foundation of renewed innovation and entrepreneurship modules across bachelor’s, master’s, and accelerator programs.
The program includes:
- Train-the-Trainer — AITU faculty will undergo intensive MIT training; the first group travels to MIT in January 2026.
- Annual participation of AITU students in StartMIT.
- Full access to MIT Orbit and Jetpack AI for building startup hypotheses, value propositions, and business models.
Rector Altair Akhmetov noted that joining GLEEN MIT is “a national-level step for Kazakhstan, empowering students and faculty to create world-class startups and contribute to the knowledge economy.”
This collaboration strengthens AITU’s global status and opens doors to new partnerships, research, and investment opportunities.
