Project objective: Creation of a multi-scale design of components of subsystems of artificial Earth satellites using bimetallic NiTi-Al strips and PEEK/graphite composite.
Project brief description: The QZ-SAT project is aimed at creating an innovative, lightweight and highly damping architecture of satellite structure using composite and bimetallic materials. The key goal is to reduce the weight of satellites by 35%, increase their resistance to vibrations, thermal and radiation loads in space. For this purpose, multilayer panels made of PEEK/graphite and beams made of NiTi-Al alloy are being developed. The expected results include improved optical payload accuracy, a prototype satellite, and publications in Q1-Q3 journals. The project is supported by international collaboration and has practical implications for the space, automotive, and energy industries.
