AITU staff published an article in a journal indexed in the Scopus database (CiteScore- 2.4. SJR Quartile 72%-Q2) in the framework of implementation of grant funding for young scientists.
The article provides input information for the workflow representation of two combined heat and power plants (CHP) in Kazakhstan. The article presents the technical characteristics of industrial coal-fired power plants installed in the years 1970-1990: boiler equipment, turbine units, steam parameters, the demand curve for thermal energy and electricity and technical and economical parameters.
The presented data set is useful for testing new mathematical models and methods for optimizing industrial processes as well as for research tasks of load distribution in combination with maintenance scheduling.
This study was financially supported by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (“Modeling and Machine Learning Methods for Optimal Planning of Thermal Power Plant Generating Equipment”, grant No. AP09563335), the authors are grateful to the Frontiers Champions program of Royal Academy of Engineering (FC-2122-2-39).
