In 2022, there was a Memorandum of cooperation between Transtelecom JSC and Astana IT University.
As part of the planned plans, in July of this year, Transtelecom JSC transferred equipment for building a 4G base station from Huawei to Astana IT University. This equipment will allow you to create a local communication system for testing pilot projects.
At the beginning of the academic year, it is planned to start-up the equipment and open a laboratory of telecommunication solutions.
The open laboratory will complement the newly created laboratory of 5G solutions based on O-RAN standards within the framework of financing by the International Bank for Development and Reconstruction. All this will allow us to conduct research in practice.
