Every year, within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed on September 29, 2015, between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, PSA LLP, NCOC N.V., KPO B.V., and the KAZENERGY Association, a competitive selection is held for candidates whose tuition fees will be funded through the North Caspian and Karachaganak projects.
The KAZENERGY Association announces that applications for the 2026–2027 Academic Year Competition (hereinafter referred to as the Competition) for tuition funding provided by NCOC N.V. and KPO B.V. will be accepted from July 25 to August 31, 2026.
The Competition is open to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are:
– graduates of secondary schools (including small-scale schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, and specialized schools);
– students enrolled in technical and vocational or post-secondary education institutions (including vocational schools, colleges, and higher colleges) located in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
– students enrolled in higher and/or postgraduate education institutions (including national research universities, national higher education institutions, research universities, universities, academies, institutes, and equivalent institutions) located in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For applicants seeking admission to higher education institutions, one of the mandatory requirements for participation in the Competition is possession of a valid Unified National Testing (UNT) certificate. Applicants may use the highest score from any official UNT certificate obtained in 2026.
The program is available to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan applying to or studying at higher and postgraduate education institutions operating within the Republic of Kazakhstan, regardless of their ownership or organizational and legal form, provided they meet the Competition requirements.

To be admitted to Astana IT University on a tuition-fee basis, applicants must submit a Unified National Testing (UNT) certificate with a minimum passing score of 70 and successfully pass the AITU Excellence Test (AET):
The AITU Excellence Test (AET) consists of two modules:
Module 1 — English language proficiency assessment (minimum passing score: 30 out of 50);
Module 2 — Fundamentals of Computer Science and Logic (minimum passing score: 25 out of 50).

Registration for and administration of the AITU Excellence Test (AET) for applicants seeking admission on a tuition-fee basis will be available from July 21 to August 20.
Acceptance and registration of documents for participation in the competition for educational grants funded by subsoil users for the 2026–2027 academic year will be carried out from July 25 to August 31, 2026.
