Astana IT University Hosts Discussion on the Draft Constitution
A meeting was held at Astana IT University with representatives of the Nationwide Coalition “For the People’s Constitution of a Just and Progressive Kazakhstan!” and deputies of the Astana City Maslikhat, with the participation of students and faculty members. The meeting was attended by Sanira Zhusupova, Head of the Coalition Headquarters for the Esil district, as well as Maslikhat deputies Nurlan Uteshev and Madina Azhikenova. The event was opened and moderated by Altair Akhmetov, Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Astana IT University. The participants introduced the key provisions of the draft new Constitution and emphasized the importance of active civic engagement in the country’s political life. The meeting was held in an open and meaningful dialogue format with students and faculty members.
The UN Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan visited Astana IT University
During the meeting with the Rector and the university leadership, the parties discussed areas of cooperation in sustainable development, digital competencies, youth initiatives, and the contribution of higher education to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Special emphasis was placed on the role of the university as a platform integrated into the international agenda and focused on developing next-generation human capital. Astana IT University also hosted an open dialogue with students, where participants discussed global transformation, international partnerships, the SDG agenda, and youth engagement in projects of global institutions. “Students of Astana IT University have real opportunities to interact with international organisations, research networks, and expert communities. This creates conditions where education becomes a gateway to an international career path,” noted Rector Altair Akhmetov.

Our KCA club received an Award for Contribution to the K-Community Festival
On December 5, the annual event of the Korean Cultural Center took place, where our KCA club received an Award for Contribution to the K-Community Festival and the Annual Achievement Award for hosting the Meet Korea festival. The club presented its yearly overview, highlighting events such as Panchak, Meet Korea, Chuseok, and others.
Cybersecurity CTF: an international battle of skills at IT FEST
The Cybersecurity CTF section, prepared by the AITU Cybersecurity Department, brought together over 600 participants and 180 teams this year, creating a highly intense and competitive environment. Participants competed in a Jeopardy-style CTF, solving challenges of varying difficulty across Web, Reverse Engineering, PWN, Cryptography, Forensics, Misc, OSINT and SCADA categories.
