Astana IT University students took part in the Astana Half Marathon 2026, successfully completing the 10 km and 21.1 km distances alongside thousands of running enthusiasts from across the country
The participants’ sporting spirit was supported by the Rector of Astana IT University, Altair Akhmetov, who also took part in the half marathon distance.
Following the successful launch of the AITU Run 2026 running season, initiated by the university, students continued the sporting journey by becoming part of one of the country’s largest running events.

2026 International Conference on Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, and AI Applications (ICCSDFAI)
From June 25 to 27, Istanbul will become the global capital of cybersecurity. Istinye University will host the international conference ICCSDFAI 2026 — a global platform where science meets real-world practice.

Winners of the iCode 2026 Programming Olympiad Announced at Astana IT University
On June 6, Astana IT University hosted the final, third stage of the iCode 2026 Programming Olympiad for students in grades 9–12 from across Kazakhstan.
The Olympiad is held to promote IT disciplines among school students, identify talented learners at an early stage, and develop interest in information technology among the younger generation of Kazakhstan.
On the day of the final, participants completed registration and solved the competition tasks of the final stage. The students also took part in a campus tour and attended a presentation on the educational opportunities offered by Astana IT University.

On 5-6 June 2026, Astana IT University, in collaboration with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, hosted the International Scientific-Practical Conference “Current Challenges and Solutions in Project Management and Digital Government: Ensuring Financial and Economic Security of the Country”, held within the framework of the AP23489668 research project funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “Maturity Model Development for Project Management Offices of Government Bodies to Increase the Share of Successfully Implemented State Programs”.

Astana IT University hosted the AITU Awards 2026 ceremony
AITU Awards is more than just an awards ceremony — it is one of the most important annual traditions of Astana IT University, reflecting the values of the university community. The award has become a symbol of recognition for talent, initiative, and the pursuit of excellence, bringing together the brightest representatives of the student community.
Each year, AITU Awards discovers new talents, supports active students and student organizations, and inspires young people to achieve even greater success. Identifying and supporting talented, creative, and ambitious students is one of the university’s key development priorities, and this award serves as an important platform for recognizing their contribution to building a strong and dynamic Astana IT University community.
Astana IT University hosted the XIV International Forum “Anti-Counterfeit 2026” — the largest EAEU platform dedicated to combating counterfeit goods and protecting intellectual property rights
The forum focused on the digital agenda: artificial intelligence, digital labeling, protection of intellectual property rights, combating counterfeit goods in e-commerce, and media trust in the age of AI.
The VIII Youth Forum “Anti-Counterfeit-M” was also held as part of the forum, bringing together students and young experts to discuss modern challenges and shape a new consumer culture.
Astana IT University summarized the results of the second stage of the Republican Student Research Paper Competition
On May 26, 2026, at Astana IT University, the results of the second stage of the annual Republican Competition of Students’ Research Works were announced for the educational programs:
- Information Security Systems (Bachelor's Degree)
- Mathematical and Computer Modeling (Bachelor's Degree)
- Computer Engineering and Software (Bachelor's and Master's Degrees).

On May 19, 2026, Donor Day was held at Astana IT University in collaboration with the “Scientific and Production Center of Transfusiology of Astana.” Students and university staff took part in the campaign, demonstrating social responsibility and willingness to help those in need.

Participants from across Kazakhstan gathered at Astana IT University to present innovative ideas, demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking, and compete for the title of the best in IT entrepreneurship.
Astana IT University hosted the final of the international Bayan Sulu Hackathon 2026 — a large-scale IT hackathon focused on developing digital solutions for business
The hackathon brought together 135 teams and more than 400 school and university students from Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Following the online selection stage, the 20 strongest teams advanced to the offline final.

From May 13 to 15, 2026, representatives of Astana IT University visited cities across Kazakhstan as part of a career guidance campaign for applicants.

From May 13 to 15, 2026, Astana IT University will host the 2026 IEEE 6th International Conference on Smart Information Systems and Technologies (SIST) in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The conference will bring together researchers, industry experts, academics, and young scientists to discuss current trends and innovations in the field of smart information systems and digital technologies.
