Astana IT University has taken another step towards expanding international cooperation by signing a memorandum with the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK Institute). The signing of the memorandum took place during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Astana IT University Rector Altair Akhmetov participated in the meeting as part of the official delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan accompanying the Head of State during the visit. GIK Institute, founded in 1991, offers instruction in English, and has a student body exceeding 2,000. The memorandum opens up opportunities for joint educational and research projects, as well as the development of academic mobility for students and faculty.
Today, a working meeting was held with representatives of the Astana City Triathlon Federation. During the meeting, the organization of the first university run “AITU RUN” was discussed, and a memorandum of cooperation between Astana IT University and the Triathlon Federation of Astana was officially signed. The partnership opens new opportunities for joint sports initiatives, student engagement in mass sporting events, and the development of a healthy lifestyle culture within the university community. The memorandum was signed by Altair Akhmetov, Rector of Astana IT University, and Zhanat Kozhakhmetov, Secretary General of the Astana City Triathlon Federation.

On December 5, the annual event of the Korean Cultural Center took place, where our KCA club received an Award for Contribution to the K-Community Festival and the Annual Achievement Award for hosting the Meet Korea festival.
