
Astana IT University Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and UBTECH Robotics
Astana IT University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and UBTECH Robotics. The Memorandum is aimed at advancing artificial intelligence and robotics in Kazakhstan by bringing together the efforts of the government, an international technology partner, and an IT university.
Under the Memorandum, the parties plan to implement joint projects focused on advancing research, innovation, and the training of highly qualified specialists. One of the key areas of cooperation will be the establishment of the National Joint Laboratory for Embodied AI at Astana IT University.
The partnership also предусматривает the implementation of pilot projects involving humanoid robots in education, the public sector, and industry; the advancement of research and innovation in artificial intelligence and robotics; the training of highly qualified professionals and the development of a modern educational ecosystem; as well as the expansion of international cooperation and the strengthening of Kazakhstan's position as a regional hub for artificial intelligence and robotics.
As part of the Memorandum, Astana IT University will provide the infrastructure for the joint laboratory, conduct collaborative research and applied development, develop educational programs and train specialists in artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as organize student practical training, research projects, and academic events.
In addition, the University will integrate UBTECH Robotics' advanced technologies into education and research, while contributing to the development of the scientific and educational ecosystem for artificial intelligence and robotics in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
