
Astana IT University held a meeting with Armeta and venture capital investor Mark Volchek
A working meeting with representatives of Armeta took place at Astana IT University, during which the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fields of innovation, artificial intelligence, commercialization of scientific research, and support for technology entrepreneurship.
The meeting was attended by Mark Volchek, Founding Partner of Las Olas Venture Capital (USA), a renowned American entrepreneur, venture capital investor, and graduate of Yale University. Mark Volchek is also the co-founder of Higher One, a technology company that grew from a startup into a publicly traded company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with a market capitalization exceeding USD 1.2 billion. He currently leads Las Olas Venture Capital, a venture capital fund focused on early-stage technology companies, including startups in artificial intelligence and high-tech industries.
During the meeting, representatives of Astana IT University and Armeta discussed opportunities for implementing joint educational and research initiatives, expanding international cooperation, attracting investment to university startups, and integrating Kazakhstan's innovative projects into the global venture capital ecosystem.
