Itechpreneur Battle is a republican championship in IT entrepreneurship and economics for school students and graduating college students. Participants complete training, work in teams, develop their own IT projects, and present them to experts.

The championship is aimed at developing logical, critical, and creative thinking, entrepreneurial skills, teamwork, information analysis, and presentation skills. Itechpreneur Battle also helps participants become more familiar with the educational programs of Astana IT University: IT Entrepreneurship, IT Management, and AI Business.

The championship is open to:

• students of grades 11–12
• final-year students of colleges and technical schools
• participants who already have a team or are ready to form one for participation
• applicants interested in developing their own startup, advancing business ideas, and gaining practical experience in IT entrepreneurship

The championship is held in two stages:

Stage 1 — online training and selection
Participants complete a two-week online training program on the Astana Hub Startup Academy platform and then take a qualifying test. Based on the results, finalists are selected.

Stage 2 — final at Astana IT University
The final is held in person at Astana IT University. Participants present their projects in the format of pitch presentations before experts.

Participation in the championship provides an opportunity to:

• gain practical experience in developing IT projects
• master the basic tools of startup activity and entrepreneurship
• present a project for expert review
• establish valuable connections with business and professional communities
• compete for 3 full-tuition grants to study at Astana IT University in the programs ITE, ITM, and AI Business

Dates

- April 20 – May 3, 2026 — training on the Startup Academy platform
- by May 5–6, 2026 — announcement of the first stage winners
- 16–17 May 2026 — final at Astana IT University
