Astana IT University hosted the “AITU iQalam 2026” Olympiad for talented school students and college graduates
The final stage of the “AITU iQalam 2026” Olympiad was held at Astana IT University. The Olympiad aims to identify creatively gifted school students and college graduates, as well as to attract talented young people to the Digital Journalism educational program.
The Olympiad has been held at the university for the third consecutive year, providing participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, media content creation skills, and interest in journalism.
The competition consisted of two stages. During the qualifying round, participants prepared social media posts and Reels online on the topic “Why Do I Want to Become a Journalist?”. Based on the evaluation of the submitted works, the best participants advanced to the final stage.
During the final round, participants wrote an essay on the topic “My Future Profession – Journalist”, demonstrating their analytical thinking, writing skills, and understanding of the role of journalism in modern society.
Following the results of the Olympiad, all finalists were awarded participation certificates.
