Misson

Formation and development of a scientific, technological, and innovation ecosystem aimed at the implementation and adaptation of advanced digital, intelligent, and resource-saving technologies for industry and infrastructure.

Goal

Development and implementation of advanced Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance the efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability of industry.

Functions of the Department

Realization of Astana IT University's scientific potential through grant funding, program-targeted funding, and contract-based projects
Development and implementation of digital ecosystems, digital platforms, and projects using big data analytics (Data-Driven Decision) and the Internet of Things (IoT) concept
Conducting active publication activities with international collaboration
Formation of AITU’s laboratory base and its expansion with advanced equipment through budgetary and extra-budgetary funds (funded projects and sponsorship support)
Training of specialists through the involvement of students in research activities, supervision and mentoring of master’s and doctoral students, and participation in the development of academic programs
Organization of events aimed at implementing the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Participation in Digital Bridge 2025
Within the framework of the PCF “Ecology” and PCF “Water” projects, two stands presenting the project results were showcased, and participation in EUSPN-2025 and Digital Bridge 2025 was also organized.

Organizational Structure

The team has experience in carrying out research and development work (R&D), as well as applied commercializable projects on the development of automation systems, information and analytical systems, automated vehicle telematics systems, the application of neural network technologies, and the development of microprocessor systems and digital twin technologies.

The Center’s staff consists of two main positions: Director and Junior Researcher. In addition, 1 master’s student, 1 doctoral student, and 2 master’s degree holders are involved in the implementation of research and project activities.
