Representative of the European Executive Agency Visited Astana IT University as Part of the Erasmus+ EduCATIA Project Monitoring
On May 20, 2026, Astana IT University hosted a working visit by Maria Sol Dominguez Parrado, representative of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.
The visit was held as part of the working monitoring of the Erasmus+ EduCATIA project — “Enhancing AI Technology Skills for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan”.
During the meeting, the parties discussed Astana IT University’s participation in European Union cooperation programs, as well as the connection between Erasmus+ and the university’s internationalization strategy.
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Gulvira Sovetbekovna Akybayeva expressed strong interest in Erasmus+ project initiatives and support for the EduCATIA project working group.
Following the meeting with the university management, the delegate attended an online presentation by members of the EduCATIA consortium and reviewed the project’s current results.
