The Astana IT University team became the champion of Enactus Kazakhstan National Expo 2026, confirming the university’s leadership for the second consecutive year.
At the national championship, the AITU team presented two innovative AI projects in the fields of healthcare and biotechnology:
- Omnimammo — a multimodal artificial intelligence solution that uses genetic data and medical imaging to help detect breast cancer at its early stages.
- CortexAI — an AI-powered Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) that utilizes biomathematical models and genetic data to predict the risk of kidney transplant rejection.

Following the competition, the Astana IT University team won the Enactus Kazakhstan National Expo 2026 championship title and earned the opportunity to represent Kazakhstan at the global stage of the competition in Brazil.
It is worth noting that AITU has become the Enactus Kazakhstan champion for the second consecutive year. A year earlier, the team won the Early Stage category and, for the first time in Kazakhstan’s history, advanced to the global finals of the competition.
The team’s projects are focused on developing AI-driven healthcare solutions and demonstrate the potential of Kazakhstani students to create technologies of international significance.
