The final of the international Bayan Sulu Hackathon 2026 was held at Astana IT University
The final of the international Bayan Sulu Hackathon 2026 was held at Astana IT University — a large-scale IT hackathon dedicated to developing digital solutions for business.
The project's main partner and case provider was Bayan Sulu JSC. Participants worked on real business challenges, developing MVPs, mobile applications, and digital products.
A total of 135 teams and more than 400 school and university students from Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries took part in the hackathon. Following the online selection stage, the 20 strongest teams advanced to the offline final.
One of the key challenges focused on developing the Bayan Sulu Kids mobile application for the children's brand “Bota.” Teams also worked on Sweet Chain, a platform designed to digitalize interactions with distributors.
The total prize fund amounted to 1 million tenge.
The project became a platform for bringing together business representatives, IT experts, and young developers, while also demonstrating how technology initiatives contribute to the development of digital skills among the next generation.
