AI Summer School has started at Astana IT University

From June 15 to 21, Astana IT University in Astana is hosting a six-day AI Summer School, bringing together leading experts, researchers, educators, and industry representatives from Kazakhstan, Europe, the United States, and China.

Participants are exploring the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, global trends in digital transformation, AI ethics and governance, as well as practical applications of AI technologies in economics, business, public administration, education, and scientific research.

The main objectives of the Summer School are to enhance the digital literacy and managerial competencies of leaders, prepare educators for the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process in accordance with ethical principles, demonstrate real-world AI use cases across various sectors, and foster strong project teams through hands-on work on practical challenges.

Rector of Astana IT University, Altair Akhmetov, emphasized the importance of such educational initiatives:

“Today, it is important not only to know how to use artificial intelligence but also to understand its capabilities and limitations. AI can analyze vast amounts of data, support research, and automate routine processes. However, critical thinking, scientific ethics, creativity, and leadership remain uniquely human qualities. Our AI Summer School is dedicated to achieving this balance between technology and humanity.”

As part of the program, participants attend lectures and masterclasses delivered by professors from leading universities, experienced researchers, and representatives of global technology companies. Topics include AI-driven project management and decision-making, applications of AI in finance, healthcare, education, agriculture, and industry, as well as modern approaches to machine learning, deep learning, and multi-agent systems.

The first day of the Summer School featured insightful presentations by experts, engaging professional discussions, and valuable networking opportunities, laying a solid foundation for further collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive certificates confirming 72 academic hours of training.
