The procedure for awarding vacant educational grants released in the process of obtaining higher education
at Astana IT University LLP
On approval of the Rules for the award of an educational grant to pay for higher or postgraduate education with the award of the degree of “Bachelor” or “Master”
Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 23, 2008 No. 58 (as amended on June 8, 2020)
24. Vacant educational grants released in the process of getting higher or postgraduate education (hereinafter – vacant grants) are awarded on a competitive basis to students on a paid basis for groups of educational programs.
The competition is held based on the results of intermediate certification based on the GPA (Grade Point Average) with the issuance of an educational grant certificate.
An open competition announcement is posted on the Organization of higher and postgraduate education website (educational portal) indicating the number of vacant educational grants in the context of the training direction and course.
In the case of the same GPA (Grade Point Average), students with only A, A- (“excellent”) grades have the pre-emptive right, followed by grades from A, A- (“excellent” ) to B +, B, B-, C + (“good”), then mixed grades for the entire training period.
Awarding of vacant educational grants, released in the process of obtaining higher and (or) postgraduate education, is carried out during the summer and winter holidays to the available vacant places on a competitive basis in the following order:
