Development Strategy of the University

One of the priorities is conduction of scientific and research works on programs of grant funding, target funding, foreign funds and funds of European Union.

The indicators of the priority will be

  • Number of initialized to the realization scientific projects, among them number of realized scientific projects;
  • Number of publications in the journals with high impact factor;
  • Publications in Scopus, Web of Science;
  • Works citation published in the last 5 years including the reporting year, data of Web of Science, Scopus on the same period;
  • Total funding volume of science (scientific and research work, scientific and research and development work) for the reporting year;
  • Patents obtaining;
  • Author’s certificates obtaining;
  • Number of signed contracts, memorandums with international scientific organizations and organizations of CIS countries and Kazakhstan and others.

There are planned the following measures for the realization of this priority:

  • Collection of indicators on publications;
  • Placement and informing about the existing international and national contests on science funding;
  • Conduction of seminars on Elsevier, Web of Science;
  • Scientific networking, experience exchange, business trips to foreign research institutes, universities;
  • Participation in the projects of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, the United Nations Organization, “Stimulation of productive innovations” of Science Fund of MES RK;
  • Contracts signing about collaboration with scientific organizations, universities of Kazakhstan, China and Europe;
  • Conduction of joint scientific research with Alliance universities and foreign universities and scientific centers.

Publications

Publication activity is the most important criteria of efficiency assessment of scientists activity of the University and reflects the level of science development. The work on publication activity of faculty in international ranking journals with impact factor according to Thomson Reuters, Scopus, Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) databases is increasing at the University. For the reporting period University faculty has published 12 articles (Table 1).

Publication of articles in ranking journals of Kazakhstan as well as near and far abroad is one of the main indicators of scientific works assessment of the University. Firstly, it concerns the articles in journals included in International information databases of Web of Science, Scopus, RSCI and others.

There were published 16 proceedings of international (national, regional, city level) scientific and practical conferences and university journals based on the conference materials for 2019-2020.

Implementation of joint research with local and foreign partners

Obtaining copyright documents

AITU coordinates scientific and research and innovation activity of university, its normative and methodological, information support, realizes university policy in the field of intellectual property directed to the development of scientific and educational and innovation activity. Inventory and patent and license activity of university is held based on legal framework in the field protection of intellectual property.

Collection and maintenance of a list of security documents obtained by university faculty is being conducted constantly. At the moment the list is presented with 2 certificates of rights registration to copyright (Table 3).
