Guest lectures in Astana IT University are regularly organized and held with representatives of various major companies. The purpose of such meetings is to communicate directly with professionals and to get acquainted with the experience of specialists in various fields.
On November 19, 2019, a senior psychologist at the Career Vision Center, a behavioral analyst Dautova Zhadyra, was invited to a guest lecture. The lecture was devoted to such relevant topic as “Psychological aspects of a mature person”. The following key aspects were considered: awareness of own needs, ability to talk about own feelings, express emotions, have a constructive approach to solving problems, ability to love and take responsibility for own actions. The meeting was interesting with the involvement of students in the discussion, where they received answers to questions from the audience. The information provided during the guest lecture was very useful for students.
On January 30, 2020, for the development of career guidance for university students another guest lecture was held. A specialist from one of the Big 4 companies was invited . Manager of Ernst and Young company Yessenbaeva Alua told the students about her experience in the IT department of Big4, about the requirements for IT specialists in the labor market and recruitment process.
Students expressed their gratitude to the invited guests for their cooperation and the opportunity to communicate directly with them. We believe that this format expands the possibilities of obtaining knowledge and directly affects the career guidance of students.
